Into the Woods was a well produced film. I was unfamiliar with the musical prior to Disney’s 2014 feature film, and found the score as well as the lyrics to poignant and fresh. Just like any good fairytale, they have improved with age and resonate with significance in the time and culture of their telling. This film is highly recommended viewing for adults and mature children, but should best be avoided by the ‘tween and under crowd.
